Hey y'all, I know I promised a review (that I am still working on, since I got a lot to choose from specifically), however as you all know well by now *coughmoiracough* I've been having a lot of graffiti trips.
Here is the latest one done however; a collaboration with Iella (Daniela) and myself on a random wall. Done in Skatepark today.
Enjoy! (back to my assignments now...)
Hey I'm just glad you are using your sketching abilities for things other than just college work ;) but the college work needs to be done nonetheless - you just have to see how you can take the unit, make it yours, and have fun with it - otherwise the work tends to look forced. (having said that it's good to step away from your own style and experiment with different techniques) Good job on the graffiti although the background could have been coloured as well :)
ReplyDeleteLmao dw I was just joking, I just couldn't help it especially after the very subtle comment from last Monday. :P
ReplyDeleteActually I've been working on graffiti for three things; one for my own self to not lose touch with traditional mediums (since that is acrylic there, i really needed to get used to it), two to get used to larger spaces, three is Chris' assignment. I have a good idea how am I going to use them, it's just I need a good storyflow for the ten images of photomanips.
I picked memory and archives as a theme since we had four to choose from. Graffiti ARE such...just toying with ideas at the moment. :)
Nice work Tif, don't know much bout graffiti but i bet the principles are all the same in the end.
ReplyDeleteMoira>> i did a prep. drawing for the final piece for your unit, by any chance I can come and show it to you tmrow? (cos now we have to make appointments to meet with you lecturers now! ;P tnx
